Robin’s Nest Eco-Cabin

The Experience

Enjoy a backcountry feeling with a short hike in…

Inspired by Thoreau’s one-room cabin, our most popular eco~cabin retreat is the perfect place to take quiet refuge from the busy day-to-day life. Tucked into the hillside of Pleasant Mountain, let the tree canopy surround you as you nestle into your own cozy cabin in the Maine woods.

Robins Nest has solar-power electricity and does not have wi-fi.  There is no running water at your cabin; however, we do supply you with jugs of pure mountain water, and a compost toilet nearby.  There is not a bathroom in the cabin.  There is a warm shower at the top of the access road, where you can refill your jugs for drinking, cooking and dishes.  This is about a 5-minute hike.

We provide the cabin with a 2-burner propane stove for your simple cooking along with all the dishes, utensils, pots/pans, etc.  You heat your cabin by wood stove for your tending and we provide ample wood for your stay.

We have a no pet policy in Robins Nest Cabin.  (Harmony Eco-Cabin is pet friendly.)

  • "A gorgeous, incredibly peaceful, and very special place in the woods.

We had everything we needed and were happy to practice doing without some luxuries that are so easy to take for granted, such as no running water in the house. We were happily unplugged into a simpler, slower life much more in touch with nature.”

    - Vera

  • "We stayed for three days in the winter and it was more relaxing, rewarding, and rejuvenating than any two week vacation I have ever had.

Do yourself a favor and book this trip - use the sauna, go to yoga, and explore the woods. We will be back!”
