Nurture Through Nature rated Top 10 Bucket List Eco-Destinations in North America!
This place ---> home. Enjoy the scenery, take a walk, dip your feet in the brook, sit in the sauna, sit in silence, stay in a cabin or yurt, retreat. You will thank yourself! – Joanne Weiss, Portland, Maine
This place is super AWESOME! So chill and relaxing. –Michelle Simons, Maine
One thing I have experienced since coming to Nurture Through Nature is the spirit which helps open the heart to light when it has been sheltered in darkness. When one leaves, the heart may begin to close up again but it never closes tightly and light still sifts in and each time one comes back to NTN the heart opens more and closes less. – Rita, Portland, Maine
Nurture through Nature is what this world needs. This is compassion in action. – Joe R, Maine
Gorgeous, incredibly peaceful and very special place in the woods. It has been created with such thought and care. We had everything we needed and were happy to practice doing without some luxuries that are so easy to take for granted, such as no running water in the house. We were happily plunged into a simpler, slower life much more in touch with nature. The grounds has so much to explore- lovely, secluded swimming holes, meditation walk, beautiful hikes. The sauna was an incredible experience. – Vera, Boston
We stayed for three days in the winter and it was more relaxing, rewarding and rejuvenating then any two week vacation I have ever had. We grew closer to nature, to each other and ourselves. Do yourself a favor and book this trip-use the sauna, go to yoga, explore the woods. We will be back in 2017.Every morning since our trip, I wake up and recite the same mantra we found in our yurt: “Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.” -Thich Nhat Hanh –Mackenzie O'Connor, Portland, Maine
Nurture Through Nature is a one of a kind Maine experience. At once a community of energy that honors and respects nature while providing the perfect balance of personal retreat experiences...You owe it to yourself to visit Nurture Through Nature. –Bonny Clark M.A., LMT, Denmark, Maine
This place was exactly what my partner and I wanted. Very private/ secluded but not isolated, rustic but not primitive, and a whole lot of love and magic to the space and land. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended! Namaste –Amy Cappomacio, Philadelphia
What a perfect getaway from city life! My only wish is that I had been able to stay a bit longer. The eco-cabin is exactly as described - perfectly nestled in the Maine woods with nothing but nature everywhere you look. I had everything I needed while also pushing myself to become more aware of things I take for granted in every-day life such as electricity and water. Super impressed with the solar power setup and truly feeling off the grid. I will definitely be going back this summer and this time I'll make sure to leave time for the sauna and yoga 🙂 –Kim Ramsdell, Boston
I spent the week of my 50th birthday alone in robin's nest this spring. it was delightful. I totally felt held in this sweet community and was allowed all of the solo space i might have wished for! The sauna and brook were terrific gifts. sleeping in a cabin and walking in the woods! such decadence! I am looking forward to returning this summer. Thank you so much! –Sandra Smith, Greenfield, MA
My boyfriend and I love the yurt! It was clean and well stocked when we arrived and Marie was available through text. I like that our host reached out to us promptly after our arrival to let us know she was available. We also enjoyed the sauna. It was a great addition! I have recommended Nurture Through Nature to all of my friends who enjoy the outdoors. The place was magical! –Kristin Good, Guilford, CT
Our time in Harmony cabin and at Nurture Through nature was a terrific time filled with fun and reconnecting with the outdoors and peaceful reflection. The cabin was completely comfortable after a day of adventures for me and my son. We were able to prepare meals and read and enjoy the warmth of the fire and the cool nights sleeping peacefully. Jen and Marie were kind and thoughtful hosts making sure we had everything we needed and always available if we had questions. But, everything at the site and in the cabin was so well provided we wanted for nothing. There was helpful information within reach and activities abound in the near by townships. Peace and quiet for yoga, or making art or reading, and beautiful views at every walk. It's an excellent escape only three hours from the city. Maine lakes are lovely and recreation is easily abundant. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking to leave behind the everyday conventions of urban life to reconnect with nature. –Candice Brown, Boston
As always, the cabin was the perfect tranquility I needed to unwind and forget about the stresses of daily life. It was a pleasure to meet Jen this time, and to learn about how such a special place like Nurture Through Nature came to be. Jen graciously fired up the sauna for us last minute, which was incredible. I will be back again!! –Sienna Argimon, Boston
This is truly an amazing experience. We stayed the weekend in the Sunset Yurt, and could not have loved it more. Stepping away from work, computers, and stress was easy in this gorgeously-kept, electricity-free place. The only tether I couldn't cut was Instagram, to share all the beautiful things we saw. We grilled over an open fire for nearly every meal, hiked, and read. It was amazing. Thank you, Jen! –Alexander Bertoni, Portland, Maine
I had a great stay at the Harmony cabin! It is a great space: well-built, fully equipped, and clean. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook/wash up and the WiFi was very fast and reliable. Electricity was plentiful, there is tons of seasoned firewood for the wood-stove (which was a real treat). The cabin was warm, and the retreat center is full of positivity (words, art). It is a great place, and I would go back. The cabin/retreat area were very quiet and peaceful (just like I imagined and wanted). It is a very short walk to the composting toilet, water refill station, and a lovely stream. I used the cabin as a base to do some winter hiking in Evan's Notch (only 30 min away). It was wonderful to come back after a long day and have a warm fire and a good meal. Jen and Mer made booking/logistics very easy and simple. I had all the information I needed and the hosts were prompt to reply to my interest and questions. –Ryan Draft, Cambridge, MA
Incredible, quiet, nature retreat. We enjoyed the option of checking ourselves in, the yurt was all stocked and ready to go when we arrived. The sauna was amazing! We were able to me Jen during our stay. We loved our experience and would love to return, a truly unique special place. Already recommended to friends! –Jonathan Smith, Nashua, NH
